SUMMARY:West London Orbital (Churchfield Road Level Crossing Permanent Closure) - Open event at ActOne Cinema
DESCRIPTION:The West London Orbital train service is nearing confirmation. It will have a stop at Acton Central station. As a consequence of the additional trains going through the level crossing\, TfL and National Rail are proposing to permanently close the level crossing on Churchfield Road and Bollo Lane and add a pedestrian crossing (either a bridge with lifts or make the existing tunnel between the platforms available without going through the station barriers). To learn more about the overall project see the web site below. You can respond to the consultation via that site as well – until early November. \n\n\n\nThere will be a chance to discuss with TfL representatives at a number of open events. One of these events will be held at ActOne Cinema. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMore information is at:https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/west-london-orbital

SUMMARY:CCA AGM\, Buffet and Quiz (2026)
DESCRIPTION:The Churchfield Community Association is again combining it’s AGM with a Buffet & Quiz at the Rocket pub\, Churchfield Road\, W3 on Wednesday 25 November\, 6.30 – 9.30pm.  \n\n\n\nRoughly the first half an hour will be the formal AGM to which members and public are welcomed\, even if they don’t stay for the rest of the evening. \n\n\n\nWe’ll then move on to the hot and cold Buffet and a Quiz\, for which there is a charge of £25 a head to cover food\, mince pies in the break and prizes. Sorry about the slightly higher charge but the pub are charging us more. \n\n\n\nOur usual wonderful quiz master\, ex local resident and CCA member\, Paul Talbot\, will be coming up from Kent to do the quiz. \n\n\n\nBook a place or a team by emailing Maureen (if you do not have her email address then use the CCA general contact email address hello at churchfield.org … and join the CCA mailing list to receive more news).
